CAP welcomes all interested persons. Membership is individual, based on knowledge of the fundamental principles of parliamentary law.
Your local study unit provides the opportunity to discuss and practice parliamentary procedures, exchange information on how to handle difficult situations, and learn what should be included in bylaws, special rules and standing rules. Membership in the Colorado Association of Parliamentarians (CAP) offers:

Provisional Member
Join a study unit as a provisional member and attend workshops and seminars to learn and practice.

Regular Member
Demonstrate basic knowledge of parliamentary principles to join NAP and CAP as a regular member.

Registered Parliamentarian
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of parliamentary procedure to become credentialed by NAP as a Registered Parliamentarian® (RP).

Professional Registered Parliamentarian
Demonstrate knowledge and skills to fellow professionals through practical experience and recurrent training to attain certification by NAP as a Professional Registered Parliamentarian® (PRP).
