She became a member of NAP and AIP 23 years ago and became a PRP in September of 2011. During those years she has been very active in many committees, had many clients, and held many local offices. Notably, she was a founding member of the Genesee Area Unit in Michigan; held several regional offices; and was a member of the NAP Educational Resources Committee. Her greatest love is teaching, and she has been a presenter in many local, regional, and national workshops and teaches an annual summer non-credit course for parliamentary beginners for a program aimed at retired people through UNLV.  She served as the Vice-Chair of the Commission on Credentialing for almost five years and followed that by chairing the NAP Special Committee on RP Education that had the charge of writing and presenting educational webinars to assist members who wished to pursue their RP credentials under the new rules. She is currently a member of the Lake Mead Unit in Las Vegas, is a past president of the Nevada Association and serves as a member of the Commission on Credentialing’s committee that is writing the PRP assessments under the new rules.

The Colorado Association of Parliamentarians (CAP) is a non-profit, educational organization composed of parliamentarians and students interested and trained in parliamentary procedure. CAP is a division of the National Association of Parliamentarians® (NAP).

The current edition of Robert's Rules of Order, Newly Revised (RONR) is the parliamentary authority for both NAP and CAP.

Local study units are composed of students, members, registered, and professional registered members. The units generally meet monthly to study parliamentary procedure with a high level of individual participation. Members learn by doing and progress at their own rate of speed.
